Director of “Avatar” James Cameron, was interviewed by IGN this week and commented with excitement on the making of Avatar: Pandora’s Frontier. Future conformity is being developed by Massive Entertainment and will be published Ubisoft.
In an interview published by IGN this Friday (16), Cameron says he is impressed with the development the game and clarifies that the title should fit perfectly into the Avatar universe that is being built.
“We are very excited about what Ubisoft is achieving with their games,” said the director of Avatar. “I don’t tell them what to do. They know their world, their business, their market. We’re just making sure they don’t do anything that isn’t canon in terms of Na’vi culture and what the RDA does on Pandora and stuff like that,” he added.
Cameron’s revelation in an interview was about developing more productions of Avatar in the coming years. According to the filmmaker, the idea is to build a continuous universe of the franchise, and the future game should fully follow this thought.
“Ubisoft, for its part, will probably back off a bit and I haven’t delved into that deal, but we’re now looking at developing a continuous, explorable world with a string of sequels.” – Cameron explained. “If we are successful, we will go ahead and release a film every two years for a long time. And we have a theme park in Florida (Pandora – Avatar World) and who knows what might be in other tourist attractions in Disney too,” he added.
Avatar: Pandora’s Limits was first announced in 2017, and after that it received a trailer at E3 2021. The game was once slated for release this year, but has been pushed back indefinitely – speculation indicates the title is due . in 2023.
Ubisoft said in an official statement that the game will aim to expand and deepen the Avatar universe in “exciting and innovative” ways, as well as gaining more movies franchises are produced.
Meanwhile we cinemasAvatar has already confirmed several films for the next few years. with sequels set to release between 2022 and 2028.. The next movie to hit the screens will be Avatar: The Way of the Water, or Avatar 2, which is scheduled to release on December 16 this year.
